Russian senator and many-times world champion Sergey Karjakin performed a simultaneous exhibition against diplomats from Russia and ASEAN countries

The right to play in the tournament was given to the winers of online tournament between diplomats from Russia and ASEAN countries that took place on April 18. The players included the representative of ASEAN secretariat Jasper Rom, Laurein Povao from the Philippines and Alfat Urumbaev from the Russian ministry of foreign relations.

The event took place online under the auspices of the chess federation of the Moscow region, the chess club of the Russian ministry of foreign affairs and the Council of young Russian diplomats.

The best resistance was performed by Jasper Rom who had to give up only in the endgame but showed best performance during the tournament on April 18.
