The competition ended on October 19 in “Pearl” Grand Hotel situated in Sochi. After not the best performance in blitz tournament our team has pulled itself together and showed a wonderful result in a rapid competition. After the fifth day the Moscow Region team was on the top place however it slowed down a bit. The victory over team Tatarstan in the final round allowed our chess players to get the bronze medal. It is worth mentioning that the team leader Ivan Zemlyanskii outplayed the national champion Vladislav Artemyev on board 1. Today at the closing ceremony Ivan received another medal – a few days ago he became a bronze medalist of the Russian blitz championship.
