Simultaneous game against Sergey Karjakin as a chess festival
On June 20 at 3PM Moscow time the Russian Senator, multiple World chess champion, the President of the Moscow Region Chess Federation, International Grandmaster Sergey Karjakin will hold a simultaneous game against the strongest young chess players from Thailand

The President of the Thailand Chess Association Nakvanich Sahapol underlined the importance of such events and mentioned the importance of meeting the World champion for professional education of future chess players of the kingdom:
“We are glad to have any chance to meet Sergey Karjakin. It is a real chess festival for all of us”.
The director of Bangkok based chess club Red Knight Chess Club Riste Menkinoski said: “Such a simultaneous game against Sergey Karjakin – is a huge impulse for the growth of our chess youngsters. It will help young sportsmen to make a huge leap forward”.
The President of JCA Chess School Jirapak Pitirotjirathon told how participating in such exhibitions stimulates chess growth: “One can only dream of such a luxurious chance to play. Our kids will do their best to perform well!”
Commenting the future simultaneous Sergey Karjakin expressed his hope to strengthen chess and humanitarian relations between Russia and Thailand and paid special attention to the importance of a systematic sports education. He also wished the participants rich and interesting games.

A BRIEF HISTORY
The collaboration of the chess federation of the Moscow region and the Thailand Chess Association started in February 2024 when a chess delegation from Thailand visited the Moscow region Open Superfinal. Among the members of the delegation, presided by the President Nakvanich Sahapol were Chief coach of the national team Jirapak Pitirotjirathon, the national champion IM Prin Laohawirapap, as well as the strongest female player WFM Sarocha Chuemsakul.
As a return visit the delegation of the Chess federation of the Moscow region visited Bangkok to participate in Asian School Championship that took place on December 1-11 2024. On December 6, young chess players from the Moscow region Alexander Fedosov who became champion, Alexandra Morozova and Kirill Minnullin accompanied by their parents alongside Executive director of the Federation Albert Minnullin visited the Russian Embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand where they met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Evgeny Tomikhin
Bangkok hosted an international tournament under the auspices of BRICS countries embassies on February 8. The participants of the event received a warm greeting from Sergey Karjakin.
