The youngest ever grandmaster in Russian history scored 8 out of 9 points followed by Movahed Sina from Iran who scored half a point less. The bronze medal was won by Rudik Makarian from Russia scoring 7 points placed higher than three other chess players with a favorable coefficient in his favour.
The women section was won by Alua Nurman (Kazakhstan) who did better than Valentina Gunina from Russia due to a favorable coefficient. Both scored 7.5 points out of 9. The bronze medal was won by Song Yuxin (China).
