Iliana Masaeva is set to compete in the Friendship Match

Traditional Russia-China chess competition began on 2 August in Harbin. The match is held at the Galaxy Happy World City Resort Hotel

Russia is represented by national champions and continental medallists in their age groups, including our young star Iliana Masaeva. Also playing are FIDE Master Matfei Yurasov (Moscow), Candidate Master Arseniy Kleshchevnikov (Moscow), Mikhail Ippolitov (Moscow), Viktoria Makhina (Vologda Region), Tatyana Mozolevskaya (Moscow), and Women’s Candidate Master Kristina Zavivaeva (Nizhny Novgorod Region).

The Chinese team features members of the national junior squad and champions of China in their respective age categories.
