Triumph at Issyk-Kul
The Asian Youth Championship has concluded in the village of Korumdu (Kyrgyzstan, Issyk-Kul). This year, a large delegation from the Moscow Region traveled to Kyrgyzstan for the Central and Northern Asian Youth Championship. Adding to the rapid medals earned earlier, our players secured a fantastic haul of medals in classical and blitz time controls!

Classical Program Results:
• In the Boys Under-8 category, Mikhail Markov – who had already secured first place with a round to spare–went on to win his final game as well, finishing with a perfect score of 9 out of 9!
• In the Girls Under-12 section, Iliana Masaeva claimed the SILVER medal with a strong score of 7 points.

• Sofia Gaer (G14) and Alexandra Morozova (G16) both finished in 6th place in their respective age groups.
• Svyatoslav Lisenkov and Aleksandr Fedosov, who competed in the competitive Open Under-20 section, finished in 13th and 14th places, respectively.
Blitz Program Results:
Svyatoslav Lisenkov and Iliana Masaeva have won the Central and Northern Asian Blitz Championship! Both incredibly completed a golden double in the fast time controls!

• Iliana, playing in the Girls Under-12 category, achieved a flawless perfect score: 7 points out of 7!
• Svyatoslav scored 5.5 points in the Boys Under-16 tournament, edging out two of his rivals on tie-break criteria to claim his second gold.
