Aleksey Gorbatov to Play for Russia at the World Team Championship for Veterans!
The event will be held in Durrës (Albania) from April 18 to 29 in two age categories: 50+ and 65+
Our country will be represented by two teams competing in the 65+ section. The men’s team includes Grandmasters Sergey Yanovsky (captain) and Alexander Raetsky, International Masters Evgeny Kalegin and Aleksey Gorbatov, as well as Vladimir Ponfilenok. The women’s team features Women Grandmasters Galina Strutinskaya (captain), Tatyana Bogumil, Elena Fatalibekova, and Women International Masters Larisa Khropova and Natalya Titorenko.
Participants will play 9 rounds using the Swiss system. A separate women’s classification is provided.
Playing days: April 19–23 and April 25–28.
