Chess Diplomacy in Bangkok!
On March 13th, in the very heart of the Thai capital, the legendary Bangkok Club will host a significant international event—the III Diplomatic Chess Tournament

This unique event brings together the joint efforts of the Russian Embassy, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Thailand Chess Association, JCA Chess School, and the Moscow Region Chess Federation.
The project once again confirms the status of chess as a “universal language of international communication”! 🇷🇺🤝🇹🇭
Who will be at the starting line?
The following participants will meet at the chessboards:
🔹 Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the diplomatic corps;
🔹 Thai amateur chess players;
🔹 Russian compatriots living abroad.
Battle for the “Crown” and the Legend’s Autographs
The tournament will follow a 9-round Swiss system with a 5+3 time control.
The intensity of the competition promises to be high, as exclusive commemorative gifts are at stake! Winners will receive prizes personally autographed by Sergey Karjakin – Senator of the Russian Federation, distinguished Grandmaster, and multi-time World Champion.

Can’t be in Bangkok? No problem! We are organizing a large-scale live broadcast. FIDE Master Mikhail Korovin (Russia) will analyze the most exciting moments of the games live in Russian.
The English broadcast will be hosted by Jimson Bitoon (Philippines).
