President of the Moscow Region Chess Federation Sergey Karjakin signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the President of the Equatorial Guinea Chess Federation, Pedro Ngema Ebile

A few days ago in Malabo, at the Russian Cultural Center, a friendly chess tournament took place between students of Sergey Karjakin’s Chess Club and representatives of the Equatorial Guinea Chess Federation. Today, the leaders of the two federations officially sealed their intentions for joint work by signing the Memorandum of cooperation.

According to Pedro Ngema Ebile, the signed agreement will give a powerful impetus to chess development in the country and open new opportunities for experience exchange and training young players.

Russian Senator and multiple world champion Sergey Karjakin expressed readiness to hold an online simultaneous chess exhibition for Equatorial Guinea players and invited their representatives to participate in international tournaments organized by the Moscow Region Chess Federation.

The signing of the Memorandum took place with the support of the “African Initiative” and marks the beginning of fruitful cooperation between the federations.
