The idea of a chess camp organized by the Moscow Region Chess Federation together with RShT team was to combine different chess activities with a rich sports and artistic program. Everything went as best as it could only be!
42 young chess players became the participants of the chess camp where best Russian coaches gave them classes, including the MRCF chief coach and European champion Vladimir Potkin, Olympic champion GM Sergey Dolmatov, chief coach of regional teams and the coach of the youngest Russian grandmaster Ivan Zemlyanskiy IM Yaroslav Prizant, GM Jakov Geller who received many coach prizes, regional teams coach GM Boris Savchenko and Sergey Karjakin’s online chess school leader FM Mikhail Korovin.

The camp program was so rich that there was no time to get bored at all. Nobody complained to an early wake up as right from the very morning everyone could swim in a warm swimming pool, did morning exercises, practiced yoga, had a good breakfast and started their chess classes.

On the first day, right after they settled in the hotel, the kids received personal gifts and then two simultaneous games started: one performed by GM Jakov Geller and FM Mikhail Korovin. The youngest players played against Pavel Stemulkhov and Sergey Sharikov.
Although chess classes lasted 6 hours every day the participants also had enough time to play football, walked and enjoyed other intellectual games. Every evening participants shared their thoughts and emotions in the light of candles. That created a special warm atmosphere in the camp. Ivan Tyuvetsky and Vitaly Syrkin celebrated their birthdays during the camp!

The camp included classical and rapid tournaments and on the last day the students played blitz. Those who wanted to could discuss their games together with coaches-grandmasters. During the solemn closing ceremony all the winners and prize winners received cups, medals, diplomas and wonderful memorable presents.
