In Dushanbe, where the large-scale international tournament “President’s Cup of the Republic of Tajikistan” recently concluded, a new chess event took place. FIDE Master and head of Sergey Karjakin’s online school, Mikhail Korovin, shared the secrets of the ancient game with young chess players and explained how chess skills can be applied in life.

“The lecture was very lively! The most active participant was a boy named Dobrynya — he guessed almost all the ideas, and even where his calculation were incorrect, his thoughts stood out for originality and relevance. The kids applauded the correct answers and ended the lecture, showing a high level of cultural respect,” Mikhail shared.

The training was held as part of the large project “Chess Diplomacy in Russian Houses”.
