Bridge of friendship to the land of seven-colored sands
On December 23, in the building of the Federation Council, the Moscow Region Chess Federation and the Mauritius Chess Federation signed the Memorandum of Cooperation

The Memorandum was signed by the Presidents of the Federations – from our side, multiple world champion, Senator of the Russian Federation Sergey Karjakin, and from the Mauritius side Mr. Hurrynarain Bhowany.
Planned activities include exchanging experience in promoting chess, online classes for Mauritian chess players with leading Russian coaches, joint tournaments and events, delegation exchanges and much more.
It should be noted that our chess cooperation with this distant country did not begin today. In December last year, Sergey Karjakin held an online simultaneous exhibition for young Mauritian chess players, and in October this year, as part of the «Chess Diplomacy in Russian Houses» project, implemented by the Moscow Region Chess Federation jointly with Rossotrudnichestvo, Sergey Karjakin Chess Club began operating there.
