On November 24, the MRCF delegation held a meeting with Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand

The delegation was headed by the executive director of the Moscow Region Chess Federation, head of the project «Chess Diplomacy» Albert Minnullin. The meeting was attended by our young chess players and their parents, as well as the honorary president of the MRCF and the famous arbitrator Mikhail  Krukov.

During the meeting, in a friendly atmosphere, the ambassador served tea and sweets to the guests. The young players told about their success in the running now in Bangkok Asian Championship and other competitions.

Meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary when visiting Thailand has already become a good tradition. A year ago, during the Asian Youth Championship held in early December in Bangkok, our delegation was also welcomed by Evgeny Tomikhin and had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the work of diplomats.

Evgeny Tomikhin was presented with gifts, and in return he wished our chess players a successful game. Also the prospects of cooperation between the MRCF and Thai chess players were discussed.
