Asian League: Second round results
On February 22, the second round of the “Asian League” international online tournament series took place. This series was launched as part of the large-scale “Chess Diplomacy” project

While the strongest representatives of Asian federations are currently battling for prizes at the “Russian Chess Crown” international festival, their teammates showcased their skills in the second stage of the “Asian League”.
Fortune continues to favor the winners of the previous stage, the Kyrgyz Chess Union team, who once again took first place in the overall standings. Second place went to the Khovd city team representing Mongolia. Finishing third this time was the National Chess Federation of the Philippines, whose leading players are currently holding top positions in Tournament A of the “Russian Chess Crown.”
In the individual standings, no one could rival Emir Sharshenbekov, representing the Kyrgyz Chess Union. The silver medal went to Alan Pason, a frequent prize-winner from last season, while the bronze was claimed by Reynaldo Aba-a. Both players represent the team from Thailand.
The next stage will take place on March 22. Stay tuned for official announcements from the organizers: there are many more exciting matches and new favorites to come!
