On October 19, Allan secured a prize-winning place in the first stage of the international online tournaments “Asian League,” part of the MRCF’s large-scale “Chess Diplomacy” project. And now, two months later, the award has finally found its hero. In Bangkok, during the Asian Championship, the head of the MRCF delegation, Albert Minnullin, personally handed him the gift from the world champion with the best wishes.

On the same day, Albert Minnullin and Veniamin Yarkin held a friendly meeting with the Vice-President of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines, Jayson Gonzales, whom our chess players had met in early November at the 6th ASEAN+ Championship. He was handed another board with a commemorative inscription – for Filipino chess player Paulo Efren Castino, who also placed among the top three in the “Asian League.”

Meanwhile, two rounds of the Asian Classical Championship have already been played. Uliana Bubnova, Sofia Gaer, and Sofia Bulik are proceeding without losses. Ruslan Minkhajdarov and Iliana Masaeva have one and a half points. Alexander Fedosov, Tatyana Klyueva, Kirill Minnullin and Savely Yarkin, participating for the first time with the MRCF team, have earned one point.

In their free time, our chess players are not idle: under the guidance of Natalia Gerzhik, they went on a grand excursion around Bangkok, where they saw huge monitor lizards!
