Chess Players of All Countries, Unite!
From October 27 to November 9, the All-Russian event “Chess Game of Unity” took place in “Sergey Karjakin’s Chess Clubs”, operating at the venues of the “United Russia” party in the regions of Russia and in Russian Houses abroad

The event was dedicated to the Day of National Unity and aimed at fostering interethnic cooperation, civic cohesion, and patriotic education through intellectual sport. Over 10,000 people from 80 regions of the country participated in the event.
The tournaments were held in person according to rapid chess rules. Participants included schoolchildren, students, activists of the “United Russia” party, representatives of public, cultural, and sports associations, as well as Russian-speaking communities abroad. The club venues hosted opening ceremonies, a video message from Sergey Karjakin, friendly matches.
В Русском доме в Палестине прошёл турнир «Шахматная дипломатия», посвящённый In the Russian House in Palestine, the “Chess Diplomacy” tournament was held, dedicated to the Day of National Unity and timed to coincide with the opening of Sergey Karjakin’s chess clubs in Russian Houses. Palestinian schoolchildren, compatriots living in Palestine and students from the Orthodox school for girls in Bethany participated in the tournament.
Russian Houses in Jordan, Zambia, the prestigious “Diplomat” school in Thailand and many others also joined the event.
“The Day of National Unity is a holiday that reminds us that Russia’s strength lies in its unity and respect for traditions. Chess helps to strengthen these values, unites generations, and teaches us to act together. I thank everyone who supported the event and participated in its organization,” concluded Senator of the Russian Federation, multiple-time world champion, and President of the Moscow Region Chess Federation Sergey Karjakin.
The “Chess Game of Unity” event was organized by the Moscow Region Chess Federation and the “Sergey Karjakin’s Chess Clubs” project with the support of the “United Russia” party, the “Defenders of the Fatherland” Foundation, and Rossotrudnichestvo. The initiative became part of the patriotic education program and the development of the chess movement, uniting clubs in Russia and abroad.
